1,000 Wildlife Professionals Expected at Gathering in Durban, South Africa
At the upcoming conference—expected to be the biggest yet—attendees will engage with the theme "Cooperative Wildlife Management across Borders: Learning in the Face of Change." Speakers, panels, and technical field trips will touch upon this over-arching idea, delving deeper into issues that include the human dimensions of wildlife management and conservation, recovery of endangered species, trans-border cooperation and conservation, climate change adaptation, habitat restoration and management, and professional development and training.

Conservation Biology in Oceania
Following the success of International Congress for Conservation Biology in Auckland this past December, the Society for Conservation Biology's Oceania section will be holding a regional conference on Conservation Biology in Oceania.
Please join us in Darwin on Friday 21 - Sunday 23 September 2012. The meeting will be hosted by the Research Institute for the Environment and Livelihoods at Charles Darwin University and will be held at CDU's Casuarina campus. We encourage you to submit symposia proposals and abstracts on key issues in conservation in the Oceania region. Further details will be available soon! We hope you will join us in maintaining the momentum of over 650 conservation scientists from Oceania attending our recent global congress by attending the meeting in Darwin!
